There are quite a few things in your home that are simple enough to do everyday that they wont take too much time or energy, but if you do them, it will greatly improve the feel of the organization in your home. Little things will build up into greater messes the more they are ignored. So if you start off each day with easy routines, the larger messes will seem to not be so big.
Make The Bed – This should be done everyday. Its the biggest thing in your room, so just having it made will keep it feeling much cleaner. And you bought those 10 decorative matching pillows for your bed set, you should use them!
Empty The Dishwasher- Nothing is worse than coming home after work and realizing your dishes are going to pile up because the dishwasher is full. Keeping it empty means less dishes in the sink.
Clear The Eating Table- Weather your family eats at the dining table or in front of the TV. Don’t let dishes sit there over night. I promise, they are so much worse to look at in the morning.
Sweep- Sweeping is quick and easy. Just sweep any non-carpet rooms in your house after work, it won’t take long, unless you live in a mansion. You’ll be amazed what it will do.
Pick Up- Anything on the floor that shouldn’t be there, pick it up. That can be shoes, bags, or clothes. Seeing the floor makes a room feel instantly cleaner.
Laundry- Always try to get at least 1 load of laundry done a day. If you’re an overachiever (or if you have a lot of family members), go for two!
Give It A Home- If anything is sitting out where it shouldn’t be, put it away. The more you let sit around, the more you will accumulate and create messes. I have learned this from personal experience…
Wipe It Down- Give any surfaces a quick wipe down after each use. Especially the stove top, those accumulate grease and food very quickly!
Any great tips that you have that you do everyday to maintain a clean house? Leave a comment!
Happy Cleaning 🙂
