Where to catch those 8 hours, or even 20 minutes? Here are few tantalizing pieces that invite you to relax, repose, and drift away……
The Swingrest, by Dedon, is the epitome of inviting when it comes to places to snooze. Although this model comes ready to hang from your nearest giant tree, it is also available with a base that swivels, and a canopy to keep out the sun’s bright rays if you choose to rest in the middle of the day. There is also a smaller model available, for tighter spaces.
This upholstered Daybed by Barbara Barry for Baker invites a person to put their feet up with a good book, and maybe even share the space with a friend on the opposite end! It works in a longer space that might need a connection from one conversation area to another.
Sometimes chaise/settee pieces work as a way to expand seating areas in living spaces. Of course, the Sebastian Settee by Lexington could also expand your napping areas. The geometry of this piece gives a wonderful architectural feel to a more modern room.
Maybe something a bit more tailored in the form of a daybed is what you have in mind:
The Lola chaise by Laura Kirar for Baker is has generous proportions at 92″ long and 31.5″W. Great for more statuesque nappers. The Lola is handsome from all sides, with walnut panels on the exterior of the piece hinting at its deco roots
Maybe a more conventional sofa is where you imagine yourself catching a few z’s. The Logan sofa by Della Robbia is extra deep, with layers of back cushions, providing either a variety of upright seating depths, or side by side reclining when the cushions are off! The extra wide chaise piece is an added bonus!
The Social Scene sofa from Barbara Barry is available to measure for tall to small, and has a single seat cushion for seamless rest. Luxurious, deep, and soft. The ultimate!
The Hannah Comfort Sleeper from American Leather proves that it’s what is inside that counts. These sleeper sofas are absolutely innovative when it comes to sleeper technology. The foam mattress sits atop a solid platform and is easy as pie to pull out. Used by all the Disney hotels. Be careful, your guests may never want to leave!
Giving the stereo-typical recliner a reboot, is the Chloe recliner from American Leather. This recliner actually looks good as a chair. Not only does it fully recline, it does so incrementally, it swivels, and it has a battery power option so that recliner and you can float blissfully in the center of any room!
So sit back, relax and entertain the possibilities…It’s Only An Idea Away
